So i don't think it's a driver issue and or an issue with my image, on the surface at least.Īnyone come across an answer for this? I would think if it was the copyprofile causing the issue, it would crop up after i deploy the image, but it doesn't. It's only after either joining the domain or possibly doing further windows
I can log in and out with any local user account perfectly and tiles show up correctly. however, when I deploy my image, everything works fine.

This black screen didn't appear when i was building the windows image (using the Windows 8 installĬd and manually installing all apps/configurations and taking an image using Dism - I deploy via boot cd, not Windows deployment services) I do use the copyprofile setting in my unattend.xml during sysprep for a standardized tile layout on the Usually after a reboot and logging in as that same user, do all the tiles correctly appear and there's no black screen after that initial login. after joining a domain and logging in a new domain or local account, it seems to take around 8-10 mins for the black screen to go away and the Start menu to come up and most times not all the correct tiles appear. So it is creating the user's profile and while it is doing that only the black screen and the mouse cursor are shown.
